Presentation of art projects and discussion

The to-know-us-better meetings at TWIXTlab continue on February, with a discussion on "Tourism, economy and artistic practices: on art residencies", organised by Dimitra Kondylatou. The first meeting, on Monday 5/2, will be about the residential project The island - resignified (http://theisland-resignified.tumblr.com), a project also conceived and co-ordinated by Dimitra Kondylatou, hosted by neion guesthouse on the island of Lefkada, that has been the starting point for her research on the relationship between art and tourism and the significance of the phenomenon of art residencies in this affair.

The presentation will take place with the participation of Erifyli Veneri, Eva Giannakopoulou, Adamantios Kafetzis, Anna Papaioannou, Maria Papapostolou, Elpida Rikou and Athens Subsumption, who will talk of different aspects of their projects realised for The island - resignified and will initiate a general discussion with the public on methodologies and artistic practices invented or implemented because of the specific conditions of the art residencies.

During the presentation, there will be a small scale projection of the works realised within the framework of The island - resignified, in its three editions from 2015 to now.
