According to the exhibition's curator Peter Majdik the wide variety of the posters in display have something in common. Decades later they still fulfill their original purpose to attract attention and dare to say - to advertise. Furthermore, the exhibition could be called a social experience too. Will the decades old, now dusted posters affect the visitors? Will the observers of the still vivid looking 'Alien' poster be charmed enough to pursue a VHS copy of the movie hidden in the attic?

Poster art addict since childhood, founder and owner of POST-SOC - a growing archive of film posters from behind the Iron Curtain. Founder member of The Casio Samples, an influential Hungarian electronic music band around the Millennium. Organizer and idea man behind PLAN4 and PLAN9 science-fiction festivals.

★★ABOUT THE POST-SOC COLLECTION POST-SOC is a private collection of several thousand film posters created in ex-socialist countries from the early days of cinema until the beginning of the 1990s – the fall of the Iron Curtain.
