TAF / The Art Foundation is pleased to present the group exhibition entitled Tipping Point, curated by Jenny Tsoubri, which will take place at our exhibition space from Thursday 08 June until Saturday 17 June 2023.
This exhibition functions as a plot device (narrative device) by taking a reverse course. We started by going to the source, to the information within us, to our experience from generation to generation. Starting from the past and moving to the present, the artworks in this exhibition will tell stories about how we live in this world. Echoes, allusions, reiterations, relevance between today and just yesterday, of Sexual Harassment. Is this phenomenon sufficiently elaborated?
In this exhibition, the artworks will be the context, a frame of reference and a record of what is happening, to the extent that it is still happening. No racial characters, no militant opinions, no discrimination. Like the Rubik's Cube, with its many, many different layouts of its sides, Sexual Harassment is multi-dimensional in form and in how it is interpreted. Just as visual artists attempt a communication with their audience, art describing motion, wants to realize the relationship of Sexual Harassment as a polymorphous remake of contemporary society and its approach.
What is the basic condition that generates such questions?
But the personal attitude of each one of us, we the human species presumably, have an essential answer to the question. Certainly, the works will have a material clarity, but they will also be a drilling into the heart of the unexpected way in which human civilization has evolved the bodily behaviour of sexuality.
