Skoufa Gallery is pleased to present the group exhibition “Erotica” curated by the gallery’s team. The exhibition will be on view from Saturday, May 23th and will run until Saturday, June, 6th.

In 2009, Alain Badiou, one of the most influential living philosophers of our times, presented the book “In Praise of Love” (original title: Éloge de l'amour), posing a plethora of radical questions in relation to love, affinity and desire.

Taking as a point of departure Badiou’s venture for a total redefinition of love, 24 contemporary artists present mostly new works, which visually contribute to the act of love, the human experience in relation to love as well as the necessity for renewal and defiance of love, even under adverse circumstances.

As we are facing a global pandemic crisis, the group exhibition “Erotica” attempts to focuses on the hopeful dynamic of love and its transformative dimension, bringing in dialogue the work of Greek contemporary artists, who employ different artistic media and techniques.
