Vegetal//Flesh will feature paintings, live durational performance, and the remnants of a feast, among other artworks.

On transformation, withheld sex, sublimated drives, metamorphosis goop, liquidation sales, fast food flinging, trust fund accounts, spores, circadian rhythms, breaking through. On ruptures in the body politic, insidious mycology, the Roman Agora, free Skype conference calls, Mish Mosh soup, remix-x-x-x-x-x-x. On Friday night working for the weekend. On the prominence of the Mycenae, & Halifax, pro-rata, non-grata, push-through. On untranslatable noise, on the colour of noise that haunts the inside of your earlobes, on a drip of olive juice (bitter and transient) dropped inside your ear, on the whorls of shells that mimic the distant ocean, on your love of waves, on pretending the traffic in Exarchia is a nearby sea. On unidentifiable weapons of mass destruction, in the body. On unidentifiable antidotes to pain. On Thursday, better than Saturday, worse than some days. On the unpalatable missives encoded in rot. On unusual beauty spots. On the core of things, things made of bones and pits and seeds and paths and purviews. On purchasing redundance. On manifesting truth. On speaking power. On painting square canvases, on rectangular forms that proliferate in their sameness, on a woman screaming as she hammers in the nails, on the squeeze of paint through tube, on the smear of your fingers, on the drip of the water, on compressed time, on things becoming, as things are becoming, as you are becoming, as things are.
