Xenia C. I. Vitos presents an interactive mechanical installation, an intimate environment full of twisted symbolism and personal narration. Her exhibition is an invitation into this very private room.

“I was a child, the adult world was a fantastical mysterious place, a place of perceived freedom.
Adult issues were mute comical mimes.

Under the wooden walkway of Covent Garden market in a toy museum I stood mesmerized by the miniature reenactments of the handmade mechanical wonders of the 19th century.
I would slip in a coin and watch the tiny sets come to life, the humorous wonky movements poking fun at adult conditions and their fears and follies.

I too became an adult the set grew a bit, so please come on in and take a seat…”
