How is the face of mother and father understood in contemporary literary production? And most importantly, how is it registered? In the presentation/discussion, we read and comment on selected poems and prose texts on the subject (Papadimitrakopoulos, Skampardonis, Karapanou, Varveris, Fostieris, Ghanas, Georgakopoulou, Maglinis etc.) With Evangelia Andritsanou, poet and psychotherapist, we discuss about the understandings of the parental face as well as its various representations in the art of writing. Participants are encouraged to contribute to the discussion but also to recite, if they wish, a short literary excerpt of their choice.

Thanos Kappas is an educator and writer. Estia Publications released his book “Pikroutsika-pikroutsika” (a collection of brief prose pieces).
