The Daylight is pleased to presents itself and its first show
“how to properly read a poem “.
The show consists of a relaxing site-specific installation made by the only company in Greece and very possibly in the world, that fabricates blankets, quilted with socio-anthropological concepts and accompanying poetry.
The name of this unique, newly born company is :
HYPERCOMF
A name that comes from the cropping of the words: hyperbole and comfort .
The site specific installation of HYPERCOMF “how to properly read a poem” will take place in a debt-trapped loft. This site is chosen exactly because of its situation as a debt-trapped space, which constitutes it as a non-site in transition.
The loft is located on the forth floor, in the street Epikourou 15 Athens 105 53.
Very close to Koumoundourou Square at the beginning of Evripidou street.
The space is an open plan with one of its sides entirely covered with windows looking towards the Acropolis and gets plenty of sunlight.
The main area used to be a thriving place full of small greek industries manufacturing footwear and clothes.
In recent years the area has been gradually downgraded and now it hosts an array of shops with plastic and chemical goods mostly manufactured in China.
A true reflection of the modern urban meta-society, a Babel of languages and cultures.
