6 women designers – 6 bold design ideas
In the first exhibition of the season Eleni Marneri Galerie presents a selection of impressive jewellery collections signed by international jewellery designers. Six women creators, five unconventional design concepts of contemporary art jewelry that optimise multiple materials. Sculptural compositions of different motifs, colours and textures occur from diverse techniques and materials embracing the female figure.
Giulia Savino transliterates entire city maps from all over the world into jewelry of micro and macro scale using silver and brass as her principal tools. Ana Margarida Carvalho molds organic shapes of titanium, copper and aluminium seeking an endless alternation between curved and spiral lines. Agustina Ros constructs a permeable glass universe, where the vibrant reflections of forms are highlighted. Anna Zeibig's circular patterns combine silver with textile and give us an impression of two-colour pebbles. Sowon Joo intertwines pervious forms of pure silver, which provoke a tactile surprise thanks to the sense of wire. Nayibe Warchausky matches the principles of architectural constructivism with the brilliance of murano crystal by composing a series of solid designs recognized for the purity of their volumes.
