On our 5th and last week Deliverart has invited Hyperlink Athens on a special ride in the streets of Athens! Deliverart is a collective project and a moving experience that takes place in the streets of Athens. The delivery box becomes an exhibition space and a medium at the same time. By adopting a familiar form that we so often use in our everyday lives Deliverart removes the work of art from the institutional framework of the exhibition space and brings it directly to the viewer. The project comes about as a response to the new economy of time, the fragmentation of experience, the cycles of consumption and distribution, and the contemporary conditions that formulate the way we construct our relationship with the world that surrounds us. An act of proximity, an action that is both physical and real, yet ephemeral and impermanent, Deliverart renegotiates the very conditions of exhibiting art while at the same time questions the network of its distribution. Conceived and organised by Anestis Ioannou, Myrto Katsimicha, Marina Papadaki and Vangelis Savvas Hyperlink is an independent non-profit project, with no established project space. It is a nomad and its curatorial practice is based on a nomadic-hybrid approach, meaning that mobility constitutes an integral part of the project. Hyperlink is an assemblage of artists with an ongoing organizational structure. It was formed organically in 2017 and is constantly forming. It is run by Dimitris Gketsis, Alexandra Koumantaki, Yannis Voulgaris and each time collaborates with different art professionals that clearly mark and define each condition while contributing to the project’s evolution. As a collective Hyperlink have participated in "daughters of outopia", co-curated by Christina Gigglioti & Hyperlink, online, Berlin (2019); "There is nothing left but you", online (2019); "Dreaming on a dreamless reality", Hot Wheels Projects, Athens (2018); "Accidental Encounters", ForGrace, Athens (2018); "Not Anywhere but Somewhere, Romantso, Athens (2017). For their participation in the first round of Deliverart, Hyperlink are featuring works by Bora Akinciturk (TR), Iain Ball (UK), Dimitris Gketsis (GR), Yannis Voulgaris (GR) as well as curator Natalya Serkova (RU).
