CURRENT Athens is an online platform for the non-hierarchical promotion of contemporary art.
The exhibition passages /περάσματα was three years in the making. During this time, Allyson Glenn worked and reworked her studies of this otherworldly kingdom amid the unending crises in Greece. Doing so led her to wonder, “Could these ancient gods who lived human lives be of any use to us now, during our times of trouble? Is there anything that we can learn from Greek myths and the gods that populate them?” passages /περάσματα is an exhibition in two parts: a series of large-scale paintings, which will be shown at the Cultural Foundation of Tinos from June 13 to July 8, 2019, and a series of studies created in situ during Glenn’s residency, which will be shown, along with other paintings, at the Vorres Museum from June 24 to July 15, 2019.
