The 1st round of Deliverart kicks-off with the work of Vasilis Papageorgiou!

Deliverart is a collective project and a moving experience that takes place in the streets of Athens. The delivery box becomes an exhibition space and a medium at the same time. By adopting a familiar form that we so often use in our everyday lives Deliverart removes the work of art from the institutional framework of the exhibition space and brings it directly to the viewer.

The project comes about as a response to the new economy of time, the fragmentation of experience, the cycles of consumption and distribution, and the contemporary conditions that formulate the way we construct our relationship with the world that surrounds us. An act of proximity, an action that is both physical and real, yet ephemeral and impermanent, Deliverart renegotiates the very conditions of exhibiting art while at the same time questions the network of its distribution.

Vasilis Papageorgiou (b. 1991) is a visual artist living and working in Athens. He studied in the Athens School of Fine Arts and he completed his MA in Fine Arts at the St. Luca School of Arts in Brussels (2016). In 2018, he received the 1st Stavros Niarchos Artists Fellowship. In 2016, he participated in the Rupert Residency Program in Vilnius, Lithuania and in 2015 he was an artist in residence at the Camden Arts Centre in London. His work has been presented in solo exhibitions in Milan, Athens, Brussels and Antwerp as well as in various group exhibitions in Greece and abroad such as: "Flashing and Flashing" curated by Il Colorificio at ΜΑΧΧΙ Μuseum, Rome (2019), "Constellations among dirt", organized by Neon organization and curated by Fanis Kafantaris and Eirini Kalliga in Koufonisi (2018), "Abracadabra", curated by Lecrezia Calabro Visconti at the 6th International Biennale for Young Art in Moscow (2018).

Papageorgiou is a co-founder of Enterprise Projects an artist and curator initiative and project space.
