The programme will include the following:

the presentation of the project "Painting Entrance Today”, in which a recently discovered historical painting will be presented for the first time. The audience will be invited to engage into a treasure hunt for the name of the artist.

Curator, publisher and founding director of Kunsthalle Athena, Marina Fokidis will give a brief introduction on the evolving identity of independent spaces in Athens.

About P.E.T Projects
P.E.T Projects is a new art space in the vibrant and multicultural area of Kypseli, Athens founded by artist Angelo Plessas. A “pet project” is usually one that an individual selects to do out of interest and not a duty, the choice to pursue a project out of desire and inspiration. So our aim to our programme is experimentation in a welcoming space forming symbiotic relationships both within the local and international community through exhibitions, workshops, art-residencies, and different practices. The influence of trans-humanist practices and their alchemic technologies will be a central theme in the programme. P.E.T Projects promotes art that is both visually and intellectually stimulating but also acts as a place to rethink the politics of exhibition-making. The programme will span from four to six projects yearly both at the main venue (Kerkyras 87, Kypseli) and outdoors with public art projects around the neighborhood. Our rigorous program aims to present artists and various cultural practitioners at all stages of their careers commissioning, mentoring and “shelter” them.
