Leon Michail presents, for his second solo exhibition, charcoal, chalk, and soft pastel diptychs and triptychs on paper. Their composition follows the rationale of an intense script characterized by rich tonal gradations between white and black. At the same time, in direct juxtaposition, straight or curved lines are defined cutting and dividing the pictorial forms, resulting in the seclusion of certain fields.

According to the curator, Louisa Karapidaki: “…Two antagonistic thematic axes traverse the exhibition’s works: faces disperse while conversing/divided sites recalling their primordial components”.
