Mayra Rodriguez Castro - FUGUE
A poetry reading in three passages
Mayra Rodriguez Castro presents her poetry interwoven and caught with the voices of Black poets, who inform her vocabulary of feeling. With each occassion, she envokes their words, thinking of authorship as an accumulative process rather than an individual act. Join us for an multi-vocal poetry reading in the spectral company of poets such as Ai Ogawa (1947-2010), Bob Kaufman (1925-1986), June Jordan (1936-2002), Sonia Sanchez (1939), Haki R. Madhubuti/ Don L. Lee (1934).
