THE SHOW: "One Artist A Week" hosts international artists for one week in Athens, offering the opportunity to develop and present their work within this intensive period of exchange and production.
"One Artist A Week" questions the dynamic of quickly changing trends, topics and fashions in the art world and asks how each of the participating artists individually responds to this development.
THE ARTIST: The Lithuanian photographer Aistis Mickevicius focuses on street life, social photography, portraits etc.. For several years and in different parts of the world, he makes and ongoing photographic cycles like "The City“, "The Museum“, The Body“. Mickevicius documents his own life and the "life" of cities and people. From the fragmented reality of the photographs he creates different visual stories.
