STEP 5 | Circular with Ilke Gers OPENING Friday 23th of November, 7pm 'Circular' digs into distribution systems and formats around Athens; flyers, posters, sandwich boards and billboards, focusing on improvised and makeshift communication networks. It brings together the collected, gleaned and scavenged materials of ephemeral communication networks, and includes collaborations with local copy shops, interviews with public notice flyer-posters, and visits with abandoned billboard hoarders to explore relations between author and public, social and economic conditions. Ilke Gers (New Zealand) investigates the human body in designed systems. Her work includes public interventions, performances, installations, videos and publications that bring movement, behaviour, social and spatial conditions into play.
