The Hellenic American Union and the Hellenic American College (HAEC) in cooperation with the Hellenic American University (Nashua, NH, USA) present an exhibition by Yorgos Papageorgiou, curated by Louisa Karapidaki, featuring works which the artist created over the course of the past four years at his studio in Paros.  

Curator and art historian, Louisa Karapidaki, notes in the preface of the exhibition’s catalog: “Yorgos Papageorgiou’s postmodern aesthetics and dynamic iconography, abstractive but not abstract, fascinates the spectators and challenges them to relish it, appropriate it and, then, explore it. The selective hierarchies of masses, the flow of shapes, the continuous alternations of color tones and the overall structure of his works exude a sense of harmony, similar to that of music, where melody is formed through pitch and tonal variations within a range of properly arranged musical notes”.
