Zalman Shklyar, a Moscow photographer, will be hosted by Blank Wall Gallery on March 9 with photographs that capture moments and trap time. The artist is emphasizing on the perspective, the shapes and the expressions of people, creating images with a special style that characterizes him. His works are of particular interest to viewers, as they narrate unusual stories in their own way.

Zalman Shklyar specializes in Street Photography. For the past 20 years, he has never separated with his camera, trying to portray moments that quickly dissolve in the vanity of the city.
Although he lives in Moscow, his photographs and his exhibitions are scattered all over Europe. He manages to reveal the metaphysical concept of the Street through the contrast and the prospect of detail.
He believes that he does not create the image himself, but he acts as a kind of "filter" that frees everything that passes through him. He believes that the main thing in photography is not creativity but understanding. "When the viewer tries to understand the photograph, then it is successful." Interview Radio Liberty, Prague, Czech Republic, 2017)

Zalman Shklyar is a member of many famous photographic associations, such as the Union of Artists of Russia, the legendary Novator, one of the oldest photographic clubs in Moscow, the Italian Street Level Photography Federation, the German Association of World Street Photography and others. He is also the founder of the photographic agency ZS Photo Agency in Moscow, the author of the online edition "Photoculture", as well as its initiator and publisher.

Zalman's works have received and continue to receive positive reviews and comments from world-renowned art critics and established photographers, including Gueorgui Pinkhassov, Boris Savelev, Rui Palha, Thomas Hoepker, John Free, Gabi Ben Avraham and many others.

Critic Bill Rauhauser drew his attention to the similarity of Zalman Shklyar's black-and-white photo style to the "noir" genre in artistic cinema and Thomas Hoepker noted his special approach to the person, his ability to reflect the psychology of the moment without attracting the attention of passers-by.

The Color Rendering exhibition of Zalman Shklyar will impress not only the street photography lovers, but also the gallery owners of Greece, the collectors and the connoisseurs of photography, all the pepole who would like to see more and stop time.
