Η CURRENT Athens είναι μία πλατφόρμα μη ιεραρχικής προώθησης της σύγχρονης τέχνης.
Nicole Kouts presents EYE WORD, an exhibition of works created during her research residency period in March at Phoenix Athens. The artist investigates links between image, time and memory through analog-digital combinations of materials and devices. A Brazilian of Greek descent, Kouts delves into questions around the visual structures of language based on her experience of image editing, word games and references to the archaeological past of Greece. By reformatting these fragments into video, collage and embroidery and other means of communication, the artist explores ways of navigating the past and future in an resoundingly intricate and playful way.
