In her current work, Flavia Stagi is re-embarking and researching the techniques of frottage & imprint and its meaning as an action. By initializing processes of touch and impression, structures of existing objects & surfaces are imprinted into supports to draw attention to new CORPOrealities. CORPO-reality is active: it resides in the process and the perception; it replaces and expands the concept of body, understanding it as an imaginary and malleable matter, a sensitive web with a constant impulse, inseparable from an individual and collective memory. Each one of us is a CORPOreality. Re-scaping traces and structures, proportions that we (with our bodies and for our bodies) build and use, in architecture, design and much more, the installation aims intitialize a re-positioning: a potential space to practice freedom/ autonomy from a (only) dictomic vision of ourselve(s) and our sourrounding(s).
