Royal Jarmon's paintings exaggerate perspectives and forms, while distorting commercial ordinary objects. By saturating colours he creates a vibrant alteration of a flattened reality. This spatial perspective depicts social culture, consumption and leisure, as popular expressions of everyday life.

Royal Jarmon (b. Sacramento, 1986) lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Jarmon has spent years educating himself on art history, painting and developing his practice. His works have been included in shows at The Hole, NYC and Castor Gallery, LA.
