Phoenix Athens invites you to the opening of Uncruising, an exhibition by Areez Katki.

Drawing on the poetics of Sappho & Constantine P. Cavafy, Katki reconsiders signifiers, models and archetypes across ancient & contemporary queer narratives. Uncruising unpacks sensitive experiential fragments of materiality by surveying reminiscences, sexual micro-histories and the retention of pleasure. Through the use of displaced ephemera, presenting an assemblage of narratives and objects that have been contextualised through whispered assertions of homointimacy.
