Join us for the launch of sync Curatorial Fellowship over drinks and conversation with inaugural fellow Astria Suparak. Astria will give a brief introduction to her work and speak about her research and experience of being in Athens for two months.

Astria Suparak is an Oakland, California-based artist and curator and has curated exhibitions, screenings, performances and live music events for art spaces, festivals, and publications internationally like Liverpool Biennial, PS1, Eyebeam, Museo Rufino Tamayo, The Kitchen, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Gene Siskel Film Center, and Expo Chicago. Suparak’s work has been reviewed by The New York Times, The Huffington Post, Artforum, Rhizome, San Francisco Chronicle, and LA Times, amongst others, and she has also been shortlisted for The Gerrit Lansing Independent Vision Award from Independent Curators International (ICI).
