"A printed page as an object. Writing as an ambition. A book as a memory. Words as a mortgage. And a world built of volumes. A paradoxical geography. Distant places or unexpectedly familiar. Existing. Invented. Places enclosed in narratives. Also, familiar places , birthplaces,  or others just heard: Erewhon, Tlon, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius, Athens, Williamstown, Mtsensk. And then, places imprinted οn colophones. Places for hosting  printing houses or publishers. Streets and numbers. Bookbinders, merchants, typesetters. We are happy to present our new project: Traditional typography and contemporary artistic practices. Weaving typographic and social "choreographies". The project is a research program that will attempt to redefine the role of traditional typography and its practices in the present era, giving special weight to its relationship with contemporary art production.
