The artists Pepper Levain (Berlin) and Konstantinos Vakidis (Athens) initially met in 2019. Since then a collaborative energy over multiple disciplines has been kept alive between the two. Both their creative practice originates from analogue portrait photography. Konstantinos Vakidis has meanwhile developed increasingly towards performance and drawing, while Pepper Levain established a focus on electronic sound and chanted poetry. At CUNTAPART the artists merge a collection of their individual works: polaroid works created within the queer nightlife scene in Berlin and New York, as well as figurative drawings. For the show’s opening both unite for a sound performance with guests.
