Visual artist Eva Mitala will open her studio for a discussion with curator Galini Lazani and the current Snehta Residents (Bjargey Ólafsdóttir, Wang Sue, Yelena Zhelezov ) on the impact of artists’ mobility on their work.

Mitala's work is inseparably intertwined with a quest for self-knowledge and the human temperament in general. Her research in different parts of the world is a necessity to her that is not so much about acquiring new experiences, as discovering the particular characteristics of each human community. Her personal view of the world and life is influenced by these new elements, which she seeks to integrate both into her personality and artistic work.

Eva Mitala lives and works between Athens and San Francisco. She studied painting in the Athens School of Fine Arts (2000¬‐2005).
