The Candy Piece is a participatory performance created and performed by Nina Alexopoulou, which aims to explore the relationship of femininity and the female body through food. The work stresses notions of agency and objectification while engaging the spectators through active participation outside the theatre- space context.

The performance will have begun at the point that you enter the space.

Nina Alexopoulou is a Greek performance artist and dancer currently based in Italy. She holds a Masters Degree in Dance Theatre: The Body in Performance from Trinity Laban.
Her main interests lie in femininity and female identity and its relation with notions of abjection, hysteria and food. She is also interested in explicit and intimate performance art, popular culture and cupcakes. Her work takes the form of live art performance, installation and video.
