CURRENT Athens is an online platform for the non-hierarchical promotion of contemporary art.
Irati Inoriza presents her latest work in-progress at A-DASH, where she has been working for the past six weeks. The artist reveals a constellation of images developing a relation with each other, seeking to generate tensions and affections between the bodies that are in a dialectical happening.
The central axis of the WHAT A BLUE! is the records of contact exercises, physical or not, between two bodies, and the transformation that this action generates within two units. Artistic research goes beyond the classic combat between two bodies, the red and the blue. The artist is interested in the line of union that happens through the confrontation between them, that are presented as lived and living corporealities.
The installation proposes instants of the confronted corporealities, the image as a gesture of history and the corporeal study linked to the action of visualisation the constant transformation of the human body. Suggesting the relationship with the other, artist and body, red and blue, corporealities that break the You and the Me, to signify: We.
