Blank Wall Gallery hosts Aydin Sadikhov’s from Azerbaijan first solo exhibition in Athens. Aydin is a Member of "Azerbaijan Photographers Union and has a Certificate of Membership of the "National Geographic Society. Among his photo projects have been a solo exhibitions for Portugal Embassy in Azerbaijan, Germany-Azerbaijan Cultural Center.
The work he will present consists of photographs of buildings in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. Its aim is to acquaint viewers with historical buildings included in the UNESCO World Heritage List along with modern ones designed by famous architects, where some important events were or will be held, such as the «Baku Olympic Stadium», where some games of EURO 2020 will be held. The two sides of the city are present in this work showing how tradition harmoniously coexists with the modern. In Aydin’s photos, the viewer can see old traditional buildings which are linked to the history and tradition of the country next to modern, state-of-the-art buildings that have been built in the recent years and have given a whole new atmosphere to the city. These two different faces can be found in Baku one next to the other, giving the city a new style.

Aydin will be present at Blank Wall Gallery on Thursday, April 5. For this reason there will not be a vernissage on Friday March 30 as usual. An event will be held instead, on Thursday for everyone who will come to meet the artist and talk to him.
