Ikastikos Kiklos DL presents a new art space in Athens, 6 Akadimias str, on Saturday 16 December 2017 with the group exhibition «Size matters? (Exhibition of small artworks)». The exhibition of small scale artworks is organized in cooperation with ENIA GALLERY and DL gallery and it will be open until 13 January 2018.
The exhibtion comprises 19 old and new associates of Ikastikos Kyklos-DL from Greece and abroad, with the size of works as the sole limitation. Dimensions, together with information about the date and materials, is one of the typical elements in an artwork’s description and identity.
This presentation, however, goes beyond scale to focus on the different core ideas. styles and ways of processing. Painting, drawing, digital prints and printmaking are some of the media on show. Representing different trends and approaches, the exhibits ultimately make up a multifaceted presentation of contemporary visual expression.
The question posed in the exhibition title «Size Matters?» is actually rhetorical since the exhibited works display the fascinating world of minuscule works of art which draw the viewer's attention.
