Someone told me this thing about a group of animals being invited to a house party by the gods, but the tortoise, rather comfortable with where she was, choosing to stay home, and as punishment, the gods forcing her to drag her house around wherever she went. Well, they say ‘home is where the heart is’, right? So any house has the potential of becoming a home, even hers. But then there is this other thing they say, ‘raising foundations on firm ground’, which actually doesn’t leave you with that many options. And you can’t just build anywhere, it needs to be done right, otherwise, you know how they say ‘bent pipes make for bent smoke’, or something like that. Alex and Kim met while playing music together and figured it was about time to start a similar dialogue with their visual work. A-DASH heartily agreed to give the result a home.
